Holbeck Food Bank

Food banks have seen a significant increase, not just in Leeds, but across the United Kingdom. As with any definition it is subjective and open to interpretation as to how one defines a Food Bank. Two key characteristics that are often found at foodbanks are that the person who is receiving food has often been referred by another agency/group, using some kind of referral system. Secondly, the recipient receives a food parcel which they take back to their house/accommodation in order to access.

Holbeck Food Bank is a food distribution service providing crisis food parcels to individuals and families in Holbeck. We work on a referral basis, to provide food for those who are in immediate need and cannot currently provide food for themselves.

Holbeck Food Bank is a project jointly run by Mosaic Church and Holbeck Christian Fellowship. Together as the Church we are passionate about demonstrating God's love to the community by caring for people.
